Сретенская церковь на Новом базаре

В 1843 году на территории Нового рынка заложена Сретенская церковь, а в 1847 ее «запускают в народ». Здание церкви находилось прямо по центру территории Нового рынка. В 1930-х годах советская власть взрывает эту церковь и тем самым увеличивает площадь Нового рынка.
