Прямо по центру фото видно здание бывшей гостиницы «Рено». После 1945 года это здание и здание напротив решили не восстанавливать после бомбежек и просто снесли. На их месте перед Оперным театром сделали небольшую площадь с именами Героев Советского Союза.
