On 18 September, two planes and a helicopter were badly damaged at the Chkalovsky airfield near Moscow. The incident caused great hysteria in the highest military corridors - government aircraft, so-called "doomsday planes" and special aircraft (reconnaissance planes) are based at the airfield.

Unidentified persons planted explosives at a heavily guarded airfield and blew up AN-148 and IL-20 aircraft (both belonging to the 354th Special Purpose Aviation Regiment), as well as an MI-28N helicopter, which had previously been actively involved in destroying attack drones over the Moscow region.

The damage to the aircraft does not allow us to expect a quick recovery. The tail section of the helicopter was damaged in the explosion. Another AN-148, parked next to the others in the car park, sustained minor damage.
