On 6 August, a 10-year-old boy lost sight of his parents near the village of Fontanka and fell under the collapsed slope of the sea shore, which is off limits this summer due to the danger of mines. Arriving rescuers dug out the boy's body. But they were unable to save him. Rescuers spent several more hours digging at the site looking for other possible casualties, but no one else was found. Coastal collapses are a common occurrence in the Odessa region. Unfortunately, many holidaymakers do not think about this real danger.
