On 20 September, explosions were heard between Belbek airport and Verkhnesadovoy, near occupied Sevastopol. Verkhnesadov is a reserve command post of the Russian Black Sea Fleet - a reserve command centre of the Ukrainian naval forces captured by the Russians. Thick smoke can also be seen in the South Bay of Sevastopol and Inkerman. Explosions were also heard in the Bakhchisarai region. The governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, who was appointed by the Russian authorities, said that Crimea had been attacked by drones, which had allegedly been repelled by air defences.
